Beyond the bipartisan effort in the US is the realisation that the IP & manufacturing expertise to create an NdFeB magnet supply chain does exist ROW, oxides, metals, magnets, all of which would take the US years to develop to any sort of competitive scale.

Dig deep enough, including direct contact snr Mgt several RE companies, there are a number of pointers to an intn'l coalition forming up an NdFeB supply chain on US soil that would likely be supported by policy negating Chinese State subsidy.

Complex task, no one will be promoting it until it's done, but the reality is the Japanese NdFeB industry cannot survive unilaterally so there is a strong common interest in building this out within the second largest manufacturing economy.

Expecting news will break on these developments not too distant future.
