I would much rather they announce on an up dow day then not. as for the t+3 traders, whether it was today or tomorrow when the market opened the scenario you speak of would still be the same. They would either sell today, before the requirement to settle or due to enormous upside they would hang on to the shares.

Btw buffet, i would have thought you already do alot of research into every share you buy before hand anyway. Funny how as soon as you sell out the circumstances that encouraged you to buy initially have all changed.
