In a way I agree with his point - as cheeky as it was. No person is being mean here towards pensioners or carers its all about our views on what is and is not economically responsible.
Some of us just think 8.4 bill was too much to pay for a 3 week long spending binge that had no real lasting effect. Particularly when we are heading into a period where it will be very difficult for the gov to get the treasury back into such a strong financial position as they were enjoying prior to the handouts.
