If I were a potential financier, some of the questions I'd be asking are the most basic of all.
Whose job will it be to guard the 400 odd km of track from those who wish to emulate what their east coast bretheren are doing so effectively with shipping in the Gulf of Aden?
Will the Cameroon Army do it? How much would that cost? Or will Sundance have their own private security company.
Next on the list is Nationalisation. What happens if Mr Biya, in all his eminence decides that the time is right, and the figures stack up, to give various "world bodies" the flick, and risk taking Mbalam for himself?
These kind of questions lie at the foundation of why finance has not yet been gained. If this resource were anywhere else in the world, finance would have been secured instantly.
I still hold this stock, with trepidation.
