It is at times humorous seeing posters defend to the death terrorists and their actions. From your quotes:

"because Israel invaded Gaza in the full knowledge that children would die." Yes but thats the second part of the scenario. Hamas knew (see Lebanon) that if they attacked Israel enough they would retaliate. And if they retaliated that children would die. They choose to attack (their stated mission is to destroy Israel after all) knowing full well Israel would invade and children would die.

"Your final question is better turned around and asked of the invaders because they are the ones who can actually make the choices".

The invaders don't make the choices here. They are being attacked and they can either 1. Ignore being attacked (like pretend the rockets aren't falling in the neighbourhood) or 2. Fight back. Hamas sends over no rockets then there is no war. Period.
