Economic cycles are as simple as looking at the economic clock, expansions and contractions will vary in time and depth, but the outcome is always the same. You will only keep human behaviour in a depressive state for so long before it want to rise up and move foward which is why the markets have been in an up trend for over 120 years not a down trend.

Funniest thing I always hear with every bull run and then every bear period is that this time is just different, its never going never end. The reality is that it is never different, it is just human behavior of fear, greed and hope at work.
