This whole business of the duopoly is something that has bothered me for a long time. I absolutely refuse to buy home brand products but what really annoys me, brands of certain products that I have bought for years are disappearing from the shelves. I am well aware that I might save a bit by relenting to the wishes of the two major retailers but I am determined to do my small bit to maintain choice. Not only that - as much as possible I buy meat from an actual butchers shop. Have a brother who sells cattle and what the major retailers do in the sale yards is a disgrace.
