I had to do a fair bit of research into 3DP before I was convinced to invest. I'm familiar with point cloud data management technology, but now understand the business has some unique IP and that there is a sizeable gap in the market (even in the US) which surprised me.

Also, 3DP has teamed up with NEA's competitor Aerometrex, which also surprised me. Not sure if NEA has missed a trick here, considering Rob Newman's connections with 3DP (isn't he a shareholder?).
