newtothegame. In all seriousness i agree with you. Migrants come here for a variety of reasons. For many its been a safe place to live without oppressive regimes.
But i disagree with you when it comes to motives.
Let me ask, you have been lucky enough to be born and raised here (i assume). IF...you were born elsewhere and lived there your entire life and that way of living is ALL you know, and then the govt or whatever make life very hard for you to live, and there was an option to move to a country which is free and wealthier. Would you take it or would you stay under oppression? Would assimilation even be on your mind? After 30ish years of living to the customs you are used to, being inbedded in your mind, how easy do you think assimilation would be for you???
BUT, notice how their children will assimilate much easier.
I was born and raised here and have held very strongly to Islam and maintain a good relationship with all sorts of people. Religion is never an issue because i have mine and they have theirs.
Hate breeds hate, so the more you hate the parents, the more their hate of you will breed into the next generation and so on and so forth.
Its very important all sides loose the hate and be more open minded as to the MINORITY THEORY.
