1. Hamas is an organisation that openly states its main goal is the destruction of Israel through violence and negotiation has no place. Its actions confirm its written charter.
2. Watch Hamas kids TV and you will see them brainwashing kids into a racist hatred of Jews and Israel and brainwashing them into loving death and wanting to murder and die.
Take for example Samir Kuntar - the hero that Hezbollah got released by their 2006 war. He and his collaborators admitted to kidnapping an innocent young girl ~ 7years old and her father just because they were Israeli. They took them to the beach, Samir placed the girl face up on a rock so she could see what was coming and smashed her head in with his rifle butt. He then shot her father so that this was the last thing he saw, and threw him in the ocean to finish him off. Killing with such cruelty plain racism, it is not killing for a cause, it is completely unnecessary to use such cruelty. Fanatical Islamic organisations such as Hamas have extreme racist ideologies that would make Hitler seem pale by comparison.
3. Iran is about to get nuclear weapons and could easily smuggle one or some radiactivity to Hamas and Hamas would be happy to use it to murder all Israelis even if it was suicidal for all Gaza.
This is a life threatening situation for Israel.
If the mossad created this then they are idiots. Most of their intelligence comes from paying Palestinian Arabs ~$100US for information.
The Bottom line is that if Gazans wanted peace all crossings would be open. Since Hamas wants to murder Israelis the crossings have to be limited. No country is obliged to allow open access to another to come and kill it. Gaza has another border - with Egypt. Why doesn't Egypt have an open border with Gaza?
Basically if someone is trying to kill you, you shouldn't have to provide them with food and fuel until they surrender the intention to kill you. Most countries won't stop wiping out the opposition that attacked them until the other side surrenders.
