Pioneer has highlighted Eagle Ford as a “ new for 2009 “ entry in their updated web site which indicates that the shale is getting closer to becoming a full scale exploration development project for many in Sth Texas:-
“Another potential resource play in the same area is the emerging Eagle Ford play. Pioneer is evaluating the play and hopes to add significant resource potential.

They also stated in their Jan 13 presentation that Petrohawk expect to complete their latest Eagle Ford well in La Salle county in Jan.
