I really don't think anyone would have thought it was written by me Whi55l. As for your opinion you were comparing 2009 to two periods in history your words and I would probably say this is a comparision not an opinion
There are two periods in history that can be compared to the current economic crisis, one is the Great Depression in the 1930's and the other is the Japanese lost decade of the 90's.
All I did was give to example of similar situations in time that are more in tune to what is happening to us now and probably more relevant than drawing bows to another event.
