I'd rather have a leader that gets off their arse and sees first hand what is happening on site, rather than sitting in their cosy office oblivous to the truths of what is happening. If I left my employees and contractors to their own means without close supervision my business would fail. It all depends on the leader and sometimes the leader needs to lead the leaders on site, it cuts out the BS.
