I have to say I wish I'd stayed in my short a bit longer, but I guess I'd rather err on the side of caution and make money than overtrade.

I, too, can't pin what BHP will do. If the market has shown us anything it is that Mr Market generally WANTS BHP to rise. Market psychology still has a lot of 'hope' left in there (or greed if you want to be cynical) which will continue to put some helium in this balloon. If and when the market reaches the point of despair, which will come after fatigue, then I'd say we'll see her hit her bottom again. The company is in worse shape and has a poorer outlook than when she bottomed last year.

So I continue to stand aside. She's in a very interesting zone at the moment, that's for sure.

ANZ and NAB are too easy a trade at the moment.
