I was having a yarn to a fellow who works for Lend Lease over a few beers down at the local. He had just returned from the States and seemed quite alarmed at the amount of vacancies in their malls over there.

Anyways, he indicated Lend lease think consumers are going to do the majority of their purchasing at big behemoths like Wal-Mart. Consumers will do all their shopping in one place cheaply. He said they are building the first store in some suburb in melbourne. (note may not have been wal-mart but was some US store based on a mega warehouse one stop shop).
