YC is very negative on all forums atm. I guess he's been dealt harshly by this economic downturn so its understandable. Its also understandable that his short-term view is negative. I am also negative short-term on the economies of the world. There is more hardship to come. But I also see this as an opportunity. Some of the most successful business people ever turn these events into an opportunity. I see lots of opportunities right now. You just can't have a short-term focus, it needs to be long term, and if you do that you can become very rich.
