Did you ever gain an education Sid or mere brainwashing at your evangelical church?
TO QUOTE YOU: In God We Trust" is our National Motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home.
This is the USA motto and not Australia's. This nation Australia was founded as a convict settlement born of gross human rights violations, where those who believed in the divine right of kings, those who were ruled by the Head of the Church of England, namely the King, enslaved people both literally in the plantations of the West Indies and the USA and practised in England & Ireland child labour and other abuses during the Industrial Revolution. This is why they were required to ship convicts to Australia. There was so much abuse & poverty & slavery, people had to steal.
Australia has always had a strong underbelly of REJECTING GOD & KING, which gives Australia is unique culture.
Thus I would suggest if this utter Australian repudiation of God offends you, you move to another part of the world such as to the USA with their Founding Fathers or to Israel to defend your faith.
