split a purchase into equal parts using existing credit card, not incur interest
or
buy using credit card and use "plan it" to spread payments over periods with zero interest....
same outcome, one is tied to the purchase, the other to the entire outstanding amount owed (or a portion of it).
this stuff isn't rocket science
