There is no doubt that Obama is eloquent.

He has a history of support for those less supported by the system.

He has an ease and confidence that exudes hope.

Putin made a harsh but often true judgement, "I am deeply convinced that the biggest disapppointments are born out of big expectations".

Well it is true that Obama can not exceed the high expectations placed upon him, and the best is that he lives up to them.

But history is no respecter of man and the times are anything but conducive to success.

His ideas of incorporation of Republicans and and every one with an agenda is a slippery slope.

As with all presidents, he will get advice from all the experts, or better put, from all the vested interests.

IMO, unless he can divorce himself from all that then he will be just another president who didn't quite live up to his potential.

Don't get me wrong, I am excited about this man, but the beast he has to defeat is not the economy or terrorism but Washington.

If he can survive 4 years and at that stage the economy will be far worse, then maybe in a second term he will be adventurous enough and fearless enough to do it his way.

The world needs not America but a new ethos and he could do it. If he fails then what generation will succeed.
