I am a migrant from many years back and have become an Aussie. Australia has given me the chance to express myself more as a free human being, a woman, a wage earner, a home builder, a creative person etc. etc. than any other country I know of. I am, however, originally from Western Europe, where Muslims are beginning to make their presence felt, and the locals no longer know how to stop their ingress and their arrogance.
As a woman I detest their attitude towards women. I glory in the fact that I can go around covered or uncovered as the mood takes me, that I have the freedom to go anywhere, talk to or joke with any man without even a thought there could be a sexual transgression etc. etc. -
Europeans after many centuries of oppressing their womenfolk in subtler ways too have finally reached a consensus between the sexes and it is for the good of all and makes for a better world. Possibly there has been greater respect for women from the beginning, at least in the more northern parts.
I do abhor and fear this medieval religion, which supports some self-designated preacher men doing nothing but grow a beard, dress in a frock and preach. How about some work therapy if they have sex on their minds as they seem to; or how about not making it quite so easy for them to migrate to our shores without some serious commitment to our way of life (and dress!)?
We do not need a religion born out of the fevered imagination of a desert tribesman preaching conversion and war on everyone outside his doctrine and regarding the female half of humanity as subject and prey.
I say, come here and do as we do, or chose to stay in a Muslim country; you are passing many Muslim countries on your way to Australia - stay there!

P.S. My one hope is that the next generation of Muslim women will find our way of life seductive and attractive and begin to rebel and usher in reform of their religion to bring it into the 21st century!
