You think a bank is restricted in its ability to provide "micro" loans because it's also an ADI. And that somehow adversely affects their lending capability over what? Other credit providers? Is APT now immune from holding capital to meet its lending requirements?

The regulation around minimum capital requirements for ADIs has nothing to do with their lending capability or ability to "compete". The majority of credit cards, personal loans, business loans, home loans stand behind these same institutions.

Your argument follows the same as everyone else on here - which is they are doing something no one else could possibly replicate. Fact, there is no moat whatsoever. If one of the major coops like Visa or MasterCard wanted the pie they would have it.

They don't want it because they are already in bed with APT and taking a cut.

Let's see how long merchants are willing to cop the ridiculous fees so you can BNPL. Before they push back and allocate it to the customer who CHOOSES to use the service.

Every ramper on here looks to the sky, because they think if regulation hasn't been applied yet - it will never come. Join the public service and you will know how long it takes to get anything done. The wheels are in motion - it's just a slow, inefficient, lazy, apathetic beast.

Responsible lending aside, their KYC and AML programs are non-existent. That always leads to great things.

There will be a place for APT - just not where you think.
