    Wow, now I've heard everything.

    The gov. should compete with the banks? Drive them into making less money, have their sp's fall and alienate their SH's, have their deposit interest rates fall and alienate their depositors? Have wholesale staff cuts and add to unemployment?

    Dubious post if ever I have seen one.
