Well yes, it could be argued that all beliefs are an inherent flaw in the system. We are beings that need myth and metaphor. We prefer fantasy to fact. Most of the drivers of the psychology that powers each individual are based on some form of fantasy.

The reason Nigerian prince scams and love scams and stupid old men marrying young women scams happen, is because most people fantasise rather than looking life squarely in the face.

Makeup, lip enhancement, breast implants are all part of the rich fantasy of many lives.

The inner voice almost always tells a story that is contrary to the way we behave, because our behaviour is governed by the tolerance of the group and the mind is a puppy let off a chain.

The fact that there are poker machines, lotto, lottery, fundamental religions, porn sites, movies, novels, cartoons, Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, satan, ghosts, demons, lucky rabbits foot, lucky numbers, astrology, tarot cards, reading tea leaves, etc, etc, etc, suggests that we live primarily in a fantasy state.

A lot of people talk to their cats and dogs.

Certain religious groups allow the madness to run amuck because they have no external restraints.

That said, unless science can explain why a universe formed from impossible tolerances. How a near perfect centripetal spin was imparted on celestial bodies to counter gravity. How the natural laws are so fixed. How order can become a product of disorder. How life can emerge from non-life and how said life had the capacity to evolve and how sentience could ever be the end product, to date at least, overshooting the evolutionary need by improbable multiples?

Well, it's only natural that G.d would show up somewhere in human fantasy.

You do understand that neither science or religion have proved a thing regarding those pesky big questions? So them sheep are running all over, in the churches and Kingdom Halls and through all the hallowed halls of science.

That's why I go with uncertainty, it never lets me down.
