I dont condone the protests, but you have to accept that if you take away freedoms people are used to eventually you will get push back. It is small amd fringe at the moment, but if lockdowns went long enough ot would go mainstream. Even thouvh the the open up is very slow it wont be slow enough to create a big movement. However, the protests are natual push back. Lockdowns have been going for many weeks.
I would also dispute the stage 4 being at direction of CHO. We know curfew rule was not, so in reality Andrews may have decided that. Stage 3 plus masks was only in force a few days before stage 4 trigger was pulled. I think in reality Andrews was frustrated with progree to elimination and decoded to go harder.
