Anyone got any view on the impact of the upcoming options expiry on Thursday?
Looks to me like the majority of open interest on the calls is at $30 strikes and above. Whilst on the puts the OI is primarily at 30 and below. Would suggest to me the big boys will be pushing for a settle level around $30, considering they're likely to be significant net sellers in this environment.
Thursday could be a logical platform to re-open shorts into the earnings announcement mid next week.
