Isn't HC a "stock trading and investor internet discussion" forum, rather then a forum for social commentary on Rudd policy?
If the sp of REITs and infrastructure stocks have valued in difficulty or inability to refinance debt, and then through this Rudd plan, they are now able to do so, surely this means that they are a more of a going concern and should attract a higher value.
In respect to the comment on protecting and/or preserving my REIT portfolio. Spot on...if my portfolio increases I may decide to invest..or shop..or take a holiday..or renovate etc The value of people's portfolios has a direct impact on the real world and hence the real economy...
