epsi, I agree to a point but what must be realised here is that the sale of Teresa is vital atm given the company’s plans to build the production plant. Imo they need funds from the sale asap to start the progress.
Even if the Xinwen deal falls over they still have a large coal tenement for sale-agreed but the longer it takes to sell then the longer the plant will take to get up and running. Considering they have forecast 2010/11, I would think that this date will be pushed back further if this sale falls through. Building the production plant (especially now that it's to be build in SA) is a massive project that will take many years imo.
In the meantime (now until production plant up and running) LNC will have to find other means of revenue, I know they have some good strategies/deals in place with US & Vietnam etc but they will have to pull a rabbit out of a hat imo. Mind you Peter Bond has done this before on a couple of occasions.
