I'm another keen follower of this company in Hotcopper. I will say though, the only thing that is certain is that no-one knows what the hell is going on other than 'hopefully' the management team.

The only question I want answered though is why would a company be prepared to leave GBP30mio in the company as a shareholder with the same risks now as all of us if they thought it would collapse. From my limited knowledge, they are moving their risk from a creditor - it may not be secured - to a shareholder at the bottom...

Sure we'll see rightdown of assets and all the other stuff that goes with it, but to leave GBP30mio in the company is just suicidal if you didn't think they would survive...

IMO why would anyone want more risk in a market such as we are facing unless they either know more or expect more... I take it that the payment owed to them ranked higher than us shareholders..any comments??? But I wouldn't risk moving to a shareholders risk from a creditor (even an unsecured creditor) in a company that is now 'going to fail' according to comments about the recent share fall.

    That is just suicidal.

I believe VPG will survive and prosper. The US Fed futures are showing a rate hike in December at the moment and with the FED getting close to aggrements on buying toxic assets, we may come through this a little quicker than many are expecting...

Then again, we could all be unemployed within a month....

Good luck...Thanks for the sell down as I bought another 30k at an average of 0.041 so I am now almost even at the current price...
