China has got people all over the world - as do India - they buggers are everywhere - so, they know the state of the world
they have a long and very very strong history of not wanting to kill customers - but, to get MORE customers and fortify trade routes so traders not only feel safe but are safe to move goods and money -
it's why they built walls, it's exactly why they built the Silk Road - it's why they are building belt and road - no change in hundreds of years
they know the richer you are - the more you can give them - the very last thing they would ever think of is to destroy you - that would be totally against their benefit
and, I would suspect that if a weapon is possible - then, the chinese would be developing it - they have the smarts, they are not hampered by some things that the west is and if they think that something is possible -as a weapon - then, they would also want it - and, they most certainly would want to know all about it to know how to defend against it
China is somewhat like America in that it's self centred - the difference is that China doesn't look out to the world with expansionist eyes using military force - you can see the clear difference there - American foreign bases in comparison to Chines foreign bases
that's actual evidence - so to is US Navy and Chinese navy
China WILL be the leader -------- it's stunning investment in AI alone guarantees it I would think
