My thoughts... been trading along time and made every mistake imaginable
and use this test..
Ask your self if the stock market closed for 5 years would i be happy to have this stock on my portfolio ?
If yes, then if you get caught buying in too high its not bad because a stock with great revenues/profits will rise again and see you in profit.
Ideally you want an company capable of a high profit margin (80%+) growing exponentially with a sustainable competitive advantage ,,whats termed a 'wide moat'
If you can find one, which is rare,,like I have, then you're on a winner.
Im not saying BRN wont be profitable one day.
What I am saying is that there are stocks out there that have limitless potential,, but also growing revenues with 80%+ profit margens and fixed costs.
Those are the 2 key attributes you need to find,,then you can sleep at night and not worry about price movements so much
Many times the best thing I did was cut my losses and had the balls to invest elsewhere immediately and recovered that loss and more
Hope this helps
