Paladin. I agree with all you say. My initial post was in response to the thread headline, is gold really pausing, and the answer is, of course it is, and by means of offering facts to back up my argument I listed the recent capital raisings and corporate activities as well as share price rises. I firmly believe that this sort of investment in gold stocks would not have been made in this sort of market, had not investors and corporate much smarter than ourselves, made a decision that gold was going higher. Of course it wont go in a straight line, nothing does. But considerable money has thus far been spent in this sector, in the midst of a truly appauling market, and I think we should respect that fact. As far as stats are concerned. we all know they can be manipulated. Take the great inflation fraud perpetuated by world govts over the last decade: by simply ignoring asset inflation and removing it from the CPI and RPI calcs they were able to give the impression that there was no inflation....tell that to those poor souls who have been forced to overcommit themselves to overpriced property in order to house their family to then see themselves in a shocking negative equity position.
I am in danger of ranting so I will stop now, but you hopefully get my drift...
