No - it's a good question littleguy. I trade in parcels and the size of the parcels depends on the price. My parcels tend to average in blocks of $6000 - $12,000 and can be from 20K to 500K units. I rarely expose my portfolio to much more than this, just in case something doesn't go to plan.
With day-trading, I know that some people have asked, why didn't you buy ADY? At the end of the day, I'm tradng small margins, so I guess the question is - does it matter if you make 0.002 margin on VPG at 4 cents or 0.002 on ADY at 3.4? Right now, the risk is lower on VPG as a day trade than ADY... hence the answer.
Finally, I just go where the surf is up - this requires liquidity and volume, knowing the rips (Stacking/Squeeze)and the time of the tides... Hope this helps.
