I agree that a feeling of 'lack of power' is a likely driver of his behaviour. But I am saying that if that is the case then his actions of murdering his own child are a pathetic and gutless attempt at gaining his power back. That sort of action can only come from a fundamental view that his needs/power exceeds the welfare of all others. Only a self-centred power tripper is capable of taking such action IMO.
