This is why from the early church to become a Christian they performed the” laying of hands” and still done today. So the same Spirit can be passed on.

To cut it simple, knowing Jesus or just reading the bible is not enough, you have to have the Holy Spirit, and Paul is a good demonstration of that, so are the Apostles after Pentecost
