The way I read it, TNG seem to have gone away from the idea of having a gas fired power generator at Mount Peake. This could mean that power will come from renewable energy backed up by a hydrogen fuel cell. The availability of natural gas at Mount Peake seems to suggest that both electrolysis and pyrolysis methods of producing hydrogen will be possible.
