This is very simple but,
Bhp ships 10 tonnes which it sells at 10 bucks per tonne.
Cost to ship is 2 bucks per tonne.
Profit = (100 - 20) = 80
This is not taking into account any other of there fixed costs but you get the idea.
Bhp are now shipping less and at prices down say 50 percent from peak. (Majority are a lot lower that this)
Now shipping 6 tonnes which it sells at 5 bucks per tonne but costs are still the same.
Profit = (30 - 20) = 10
It is utter rubbish to state that holders will become rich because they are shipping more.
