Cherry day? Never heard of that. No cherries in Melbourne. I've seen those yellowy orange ones in the shops but not 100% yellow.
The very deep red ones which come into our shops in late January or even February are from Tasmania and they are the best.
I used to buy the cherries for the Christmas dinner for ten or so people, but such occasion not likely to be permitted by Dan this year.
