I think you guys have totally misunderstood the law.

Let me show you an example as it relates to anti-lockdown protestors.

Lets say a person was arrested at the protest and was subsequently charged.

But that person decided to co-operate with the police, by providing information, to assist in the arrest of the ring leader/s.

For his/her cooperation, the authority could drop the charge and instead issue a warning.
