I think you are right. I was having dinner with my Son in Law and he told me about the reduction in dividends from CBA, amounting to about 24 cents or 24%. (I can't recollect which is which).

But, even at these lower dividends, my return on capital/original investment, is very good.

As you said I am not really convinced that the Banks are telling us the truth of what they have hanging in their cupboards, and there could be more skeletons in there as far as we know, but at this stage of the game, I am prepared to sit tight and see what will unfold.
