Hello friend, I'll outline the reasons I bought into FDV - they will likely make little sense to anyone else but these are the legit reasons I'm in:

    1. The ticker code is my wife's initials. This is the only reason I looked at the stock - this will likely sound stupid to most others on the forum but I've had exceptional luck by backing stocks that I simply have a gut feel about, names that resonate with me, ticker codes that are meaningful.

    2. When I researched the stock, I found it was exposed to tech - but importantly was exposed to fairly large markets with strong growth potential i.e. mostly in developing nations. The upside for tech in those nations in monstrous and I love a large total addressable market (TAM).

    3. When I looked at the FDV price chart, she had been hammered during COVID (like all other stocks) but had not rebounded as strongly as most other tech stocks. I couldn't see a reason why she was lagging the rest of the market and I took the view that she had to play catch up at some time - I guess you could say I felt she was undervalued compared to peers.

    4. I looked at the numbers, revenues, growth etc. and overall I liked it. FDV is a bit different to most tech stocks - it's almost a Venture Capital or LIC play with a bunch of investments in the space that I like (Tech with large TAM) so it made sense for me to be in it.

    5. Several other HC members whom I respect and take notice of are here. It's not the reason I entered, but it gave me confidence to dig in a little deeper and that I had found a good play.

Good luck to you, I think now is a great time to buy FDV even though she has run 20%-30% it's only just begun.
