No, in my opinion it is preferable that Redflow sell direct to customer. Current situation is that Redflow deliver direct to customer and charge customer for delivery. Why would I want to pay to have an installer buy the battery and have it in stock, when my installer might be in Newcastle ? The battery would need to go to Newcastle and then back up towards Brisbane where it came from.
If installer buys from Redflow, I can't tell if I am being ripped off by the only installer designated to service me. If I buy from Redflow, it's up to me to get the best price I can by negotiating with them, and I select an installer from a group of accredited installers in my area = competition to my benefit.
There are numerous installers for the Tesla Powerwall in my area, I would just like the same opportunity with a ZBM.
