The quarterlies shouldn't be of great interest nor should we expect any great revelations in them, as any subsequent development would be announced before the release of the quarterly.

But my question remains - in my hypothetical takeover situation, would we have the ludicrous situation of a series of market-sensitive major announcements followed (at the end of the month) by the obligatory quarterly (which reports on the period before the major news ocurred) in which no mention of it occurs because it relates to the reporting period that was over before the action occured? Or do they add an addendum saying "Oh by the way, since the end of the reporting period the company has been subject to a takeover move"?
