Agreed drilling is very costly. So to have it stationed at hole 7 is an investment for them. What caught my eye in the announcement was the visual and mineral comparison with pyrite and arsenopyrite to Fun Zone.
They strongly believe follow up drilling is warranted and the specially noted:
The Pogo Gold Mine is published to be “quartz hosted stacked vein systems (Liese, Fun Zone, South Pogo, East Deeps) at Pogo are flat to moderately dipping (25-45°) laminated to massive veins dipping towards the NW and vein width varies from <0.5m to >10m (average ~3m)” and “Sulphide associated gold occurs as disseminated sulphides or in sulphide veinlets. These deposits are characterized by invisible (typically microscopic and/or dissolved) gold in pyrite and arsenopyrite. This dissolved kind of gold is called "Invisible Gold", as it can only be found through chemical analysis.
