Try explaining to the majority of the world's population that people who took the bonus and went to Wally's World, or who blew it on the pokies, or who drank themselves silly or who lay in a hot tub with a scarlet woman are needy.

Try explaining to those who don't know what welfare is why greater than 10% of our population are unable to work (so get a disability pension) but can drive a car/use a computer/punch a pokie/cook a meal......ah u know what I'm saying.

As I said, the easiest thing to do was open someone else's wallet and give out free money.

The big issue for this government is how they manage the recession. Are they capable of inspiring the mood of the populace? Their first step was to trash talk the economy then bribe them with money......will it be enough to get them working for the country or will they just want more 'gimmees'.......?
