Hey Dee, in this case you paid 0.1 cent to buy the right to buy the share in the future for 0.025 cents before the expiry date. If you do not excercise your right then you lose your money.
Shares is part ownership of the company which you have paid for. Your liability is limited to the percentage of shares you own.
