a little confused??

Im a little confused, if BNB shares are worthless why do the banks want to become shareholders? If BNB resume trading at say 1c would the banks be receiving enough compensation for the debt? Could one of these banks decide just to sell its shares "if" it relists and run for the hills.

I just dont understand why the company and others are saying that shares holders will get nothing, say someone bought shares at 50c (say 10000) cost = $5000 and sold for 1c = $100 they are still getting something back if only a little.
