Amazing to think that all the gold ever produced can fit into a tennis court size
Gold has a much more secure basics that the paper currencies.
The $US may appear a safe haven on recent evidence - but in the end it is backed by nothing more solid than the NINJA loans etc that brought about the credit crisis
GOLD has for millennia been trusted accross many civilisations and cultures as a store of value.
When many lose trust in the transient value of currencies they will look to more solid permanent stores
Gold goes up & down but it has 1000s of years of history a limited supply & production is getting more & more difficult.
Whereas currencies can evaporate to nothing especially when a govt deep in debt thinks it can solve things by printing money.
If you were concerned about wealth preservation would you pick cash over gold ?
