    That is an illogical argument to support your stance. The majority will NEVER walk off the cliff because the majority represents common sense, and in the context of your disputed point with EAGLE888, the majority view represents "value judgment".

    On the other hand, it is possible that a minority may walk off a cliff, in the scenario you painted.

    essentially, when the majority agrees on a certain thing, the probability is high that the majority is right in their decision or view.
