42 billion aus stimulus, page-27

I know I'm not going to get any sympathy - but having just attained what Rudd deems "high income earner status' over $150k (and therefore one of the cashcows for stimuluspackages) - after paying HECS, never claiming a govt. benefit, working bloody hard for the last 15 years and making numerous sacrifices, I am starting to resent these blanket giveaways wich aren't necessarily based on merit for all recipients.

Happy not to be included but fail to understand how long term welfare recipients who breed as a profession will not see giveaways as confirmation that their chosen lifestyle is the optimal one.

Sorry - just venting - like infrastructure package and additional money for schools - would have liked inclusion of regular weekly increase for pensioners.
