Funny you should mention the landmines, nicky6. He did mention them at an EGM/AGM a few years ago in Perth.... a poster called Philharmonic was also there and reported on the meeting to HotCopperites.
MS quoted a figure of the number of landmines supposedly still in the ground.... can anyone remember the number he said?.... I thought it was hundreds of millions (from memory). MS mentioned about a Chinese bulldozer driver who blew himself up.... then went on to say how good a job a John Jacoby was doing.... at the Catabola site (crikey, the old memory is a bit vague).
The thought crossed my mind a number of times about how safe it would be to go check out the "sites" in Angola.... but the thought of those landmines.... well...
By the way, whatever happened to John Jacoby?.... and whatever happened to the results? There was suppose to be gold in the ground turned over when they were making roads.. T4P, you Google Earthed it too didn't you?.... even Clark Kent was there Do we still have Catabulldust? All those newish tents erected, drillers busy running around, disinterested onlookers... crikey, thought they would have been elsewhere busily panning for gold.... anyway, that's old news.... bring on the refinery.. a haha hahaha ahahah
